LIVING SPRINGS FELLOWSHIP

Tis The Season

"I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching." (2 Timothy 4:1-2)

We are engaged in the most important mission ever assigned to mankind...and so much of the church is still on the sidelines. We are missing out on the action because we are too busy with others things. Some of us think that we are on the team but not in the lineup.

The battle cry has gone out! It is time to dig ourselves out of the dugout...and get back to the mindset of: "Put me in coach, I am ready to play...today!"

The Lord has prepared our "every good work" every day of every season throughout the year! Just think beloved child of God...we have the greatest assignment to share the greatest message about the greatest love from the greatest person who performed the greatest feat ever performed when Jesus died for us and rose again...and yet we far too often keep it to ourselves.

So Paul says, "Be ready in season and out of season!"

Around the holidays, we often hear the expression "tis the season,' but in reality, there is never a season where the good news should not be shared. The time was, is, and always will be NOW!

Therefore, we must WAKE UP...GET UP...and BE FILLED UP with Christ's Word and His Spirit. We must seize our daily opportunities, understanding that many of our best opportunities will not be previously scheduled on our calendars but are God's divine appointments waiting for us.

Let us daily receive freely from our Lord so that we can give freely of what we have received. Let us pray for open doors and open hearts be ready with open mouths to share Christ with others. Let us not leave our houses without our feet being fully ready and prepared with the gospel of peace (Eph. 6:15). This means whether things are planned or unplanned, we should be optimistically opportunistic to share the good news of Christ and what He has done for us!

For we have the living Christ living within us and the opportunities are all around us. If we don't take the ground Christ won, then we will hand over the ground to the enemy of our souls who is tirelessly working against us trying to take what does not belong to him. The problem is people are not being told of the scoreboard and the enemy is deceiving people to play on his team. Far too many have not been properly introduced to Jesus or they need to be reintroduced to Him!

"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith." (Gal. 6:10). Let us get our gear on and get in the game and get on mission!

When we commit to spending time daily with Jesus through His Word and prayer and seeking to be filled with His Spirit, it will become more and more natural and free flowing to share what we are experiencing with God and we will freely invite other to taste and see that the Lord is good!

Tis the season dear saints to know Him and make Him known!

2. How can you better prepare from one day to the next to be ready at all times to share with others about the truth of Christ that is able to set them free?
