The Promise to Bring God's Glory

The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. - Haggai 2:9

Is the seed still in the barn? As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit. But from this day I will bless you.’ ” - Haggai 2:19 No one can know what the future holds...unless the One who knows all things chooses to reveal certain things to us. This has been the case at various times throughout history when the Lord gives promises of what He is going to do. To those who were held captive in Babylon and returned to Jerusalem, they heard the promise of God of what He would do to the house of God and the people of God and the nations of God.

How powerful is the promise of God since when God speaks something IT IS AS GOOD AS DONE! He WILL fill the temple with glory! He WILL give peace and bless us! He will shake the heavens and the earth and all the nations of the world.

O how wonderful it is to know that God is in control of His House, His people, and the entirety of His creation! He has you in His grip dear saint! He is working all things together for good for you because you love Him and are the called according to His purpose. Just take this wonderful truth in: He shares His perfect peace with and in you! Yes, YOU! You are an expression of His shalom!

In Christ, there are three kinds of peace:

The Peace that you have with God...The Peace of God that surpasses your understanding...And the Peace that simply IS God! This peace is Christ living in you!

All of us together make up both the house of God and the people of God and thus it is the will of God that the peace of God and the glory of God remain in you forever.

The Lord makes promises that He intends to keep dear saint...but we need to be intentional to keep His word alive in our hearts. We must be insistent to read and heed the Word if we are to be consistent to live and look Christ.

Brothers and sisters, NOW IS THE TIME to get rid of any unclean and unholy ways out of our lives. Our Lord desires a pure and holy temple for Him to dwell in. This confused world needs to see a genuine expression of faith among God's people. God will bring the glory with Him and in us but we must get rid of all filthiness of the flesh and spirit and perfect holiness in the fear of God (2 Cor. 7:1).

Everything in this world is winding down...and thus we need to be looking up until Christ comes down and presents His glorious bride to this fallen and broken world. You are a special part of God's greater plan of His greater glory!

He told Zerubbabel that he was like his signet ring. This signet ring represents God's authority and ownership. Those who were formerly under the control of those who held us captive are now under the authority of the Lord who set them FREE! Hallelujah church! He whom the Son sets free is FREE INDEED! We are Christs ambassadors (2 Cor. 5:20) to help others be reconciled and reunited with the Lord! You wear His signet ring today!

HEART WORK

Consider your ways at this time. Since you are the house of God today, it is right to start with your own heart. How is your personal temple and heart doing? Are you clean?

- How different are you from the former person you used to be in? Have you grown?

- Are you clear on what God is calling you to become? Do you have a clear vision of it?

Let the promise of God bringing His glory inspire to live above the fallenness of this world.
