The Power Behind Our Faith

"And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people..." (Acts 5:12)

The Lord Jesus worked many signs and wonders in God's power throughout His entire earthly ministry when He healed all kinds of people of all kinds of diseases, which even included those who were tormented by demonic spirits. As He trained up His disciples, He allowed them to temporarily operate in His power whenever He sent them out to fulfill His redemptive purposes.

God loves to display His supernatural power through ordinary people who have faith in Him and are willing to step out and put their faith in action.

But it was after Pentecost and after Jesus died and rose again and ascended into heaven that the power of God would be FULLY given to the Church so that the followers of Christ could carry on His mission and live as witnesses for Him all over the world. Even in the Old Testament we learn that the eyes of the Lord are always searching to and fro throughout the whole world to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are loyal to Him (2 Chron. 16:9).

Is this true of your life? Are you someone that God sees has a loyal heart? Are you believing that God can accomplish any work at any time to any person? Do you believe He is able to do the impossible?

Supernatural HEALING comes by God’s Hand by means of one or more of the following ways...

  • The Individual Faith of a Person

  • The Interceding Faith of Others

  • The Intervening Sovereign Will of God

God's ways are NOT like the ways of man. His ways are HIGHER than our ways since He sees more than we do and knows what His purpose is in everything He does. Sometimes God heals because of the faith of the person in need...other times God heals when others intercede on a person's behalf. And then there are times where God intervenes and heals despite the faith of anyone involved.

Regardless, one thing is always certain: God is working out a purpose even if we do not understand it or would not have chosen it for ourselves. Often times, God's intended purpose begins when our purpose ends. In other words, we discover the fullness of God's plan when we are fully surrendered in our will to receive His will.

God is God and He is able to work His wonderful works however He chooses. Let us remember that God makes all things beautiful in its time. He has a purpose in both the sufferings and the blessings. God has a PURPOSE in healing and deliverance and God has a PURPOSE in hardship and death. Ecclesiastes 3:1 declares that, "To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven. But let us be believing and willing to submit to God no matter what season we are in. May we let go of our grip on things and our own expectations and expect God to do whatever He is going to do.

May we never separate God's power from His purpose. He is working even when we cannot see Him working. He is working ALL THINGS together for good...because that is what a GOOD GOD does.

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness" (2 Cor. 12:9).

"ACTS IN ACTION" CHALLENGE POINT:

Acknowledge your weakness and His Strength Pray for His Divine Healing wherever needed. Declare openly the power of Christ’s Resurrection.
